Canton Network is a privacy-preserving public blockchain built as a network of permissioned subnets that compose atomically through a decentralized Global Synchronizer. Apps keep full control over privacy, governance, and scaling, yet interoperate without bridges; governance runs via the Global Synchronizer Foundation. The Canton Coin utility token powers synchronizer traffic/application fees using a USD-fee, burn-and-mint design where builders/operators mint CC in proportion to verifiable utility, with caps and featured-app multipliers.
