Connext is a cross chain liquidity network which helps users to noncustodial transfer assets between EVM-compatible chains and L2 systems.
As Ethereum is becoming multichain, the challenge of liquidity fragmentation within ecosystem emerged. To solve this, Connext builds a network to connect discrete liquidity pools on different chains. As a result, users can swap their value between different chains. The core of Connext is state channels which are a technology that allows two parties transact with arbitrary conditionality.
For now, Connext mainly focuses on EVM chains and L2 layers, but can be modified to work with other chains that supports conditional transfers. And the platform only charge fees for routers as a compensation for providing liquidity.
NEXT is an ERC20 utility and governance token that powers fair utilization of the network.
