Sentient is an open-source, decentralized AI platform that aims to build a new AI economy where models, data, and agents have clear on-chain ownership and share the value they create with the communities that build and use them. Backed by an $85M seed round and guided by contributors including Polygon co-founder Sandeep Nailwal, Sentient plans to ship a platform for AI artifacts, a blockchain protocol for ownership and revenue sharing, and an “OML” (Open, Monetizable, Loyal) model standard, eventually enabling community-built foundation models and open-source AGI. At this early stage there is no live token or tokenomics, and incentives are framed around shared ownership and future revenue from AI models rather than a launched crypto asset.
