Shifu SSV Testnet V2

Shifu SSV Testnet V2 is a testnet for the ssv.network, which is a permissionless implementation of Distributed Validator Technology (DVT). The testnet is designed to test the integration of the SSV token into the protocol and all the new functionality made available to operators and validators. The testnet allows anyone to participate and build on the Layer 0 of the ssv.network and see the capabilities of DVT.

Some of the new updates in the Shifu SSV Testnet V2 include SSV token integration as the payment layer of the network, added new smart contract functionality for interacting with the protocol, improved management capabilities for validators and operators, new dashboards for displaying unique validator and operator metrics, and a renovated website with developer docs and integration guides.

SSV incentivized Testnet

ssv.network announced the SSV.network Incentivisation Program. Operators and Validators will receive SSV airdrops for participating in the network by running SSV nodes and staking GoETH.

32,000 $SSV was distributed. The prize was divided between Operators and Validators in the following way:

• 50% to all active validators
• 25% to all Operators (verified and non-verified)
• 25% to verified operators only

First ssv.network Testnet

The first public ssv.network testnet was launched on April 7th, 2021. The purpose of ssv.network's first public testnet was to test the consensus mechanism used to perform the duties of an Ethereum validator.
