Zinc was conceived in 2017, by a team of progressive technologists and recruiters, frustrated by the time consuming, inefficient and costly processes used to collect references and background checks. We saw an opportunity to redefine background checking and bring credibility and value back to referencing. Zinc was created to be a cost-cutting and time-saving referencing and background platform that prioritises the candidate experience.
Zinc tokens can be used to pay for the platform. They are also used to incentivise honest and qualitative references.
Referees that sign up to Zinc are rewarded with 30 Zinc tokens for each qualitative reference provided. Tokens can be accumulated to pay for the Zinc platform or withdrawn. Referees can only withdraw tokens if they have provided at least three references.
