40% of Octopus Network's Core Team to Leave, Team Token Incentive Suspended Indefinitely

Louis Liu, the founder of the NEAR ecosystem multichain network Octopus Network, announced that the core team will initiate a Voluntary Separation Program to enable restructuring. To date, roughly 40% of the members (12 of 30) will leave the core team through the program. The remaining team members will accept a 20% salary cut, and the team token incentive will be suspended indefinitely.

Louis Liu said that Octopus Network will focus on building NEAR and IBC as strategic cornerstones next year. Octopus 2.0 will connect various appchains (Substrate or Cosmos SDK based) and all IBC-enabled blockchains to support the development of NEAR.
