An Unusual Rug Pull: XIRTAM transfers the Rugged 1909 $ETH to Binance and soon gets frozen

XIRTAM, a project built on the Arbitrum ecosystem, is a reputation-building platform that does not require KYC. It advocates building digital reputation step by step through the XIRTAM system in an anonymous and decentralized manner, and users can earn rewards by participating in activities on XIRTAM. The project team rug pulled on 3rd May with 1909 $ETH raised funds.

However, unlike the usual practice of rug pull projects, the runaway XIRTAM project team did not transfer the raised 1909 $ETH to a crypto mixing service to hide their identity and the flow of funds. Instead, they directly deposited all the funds into Binance.

In response, Binance said, "So far, we have received multiple feedbacks on the XIRTAM incident. We understand the seriousness of this issue and have launched an investigation into the incident as soon as possible. Currently, the funds transferred to the Binance account address suspected of fraud have been frozen. If necessary, we will fully cooperate with law enforcement agencies in the investigation. In the meantime, we strongly recommend that you contact the law enforcement agency in your jurisdiction and report this incident, as they can handle such situations and provide any additional assistance that may be needed."
