Binance Close to Acquire 41.2% Stake of Korean Crypto Exchange GOPAX, Korean Media Reports

According to Korean media outlet Decentr, Binance (@binance) has recently completed due diligence for the acquisition of GOPAX (@GOPAX_kr), a Korean crypto exchange, and is taking the final steps, such as confirming the procedure. It's said that Binance will buy a 41.2% stake from GOPAX CEO Lee Jun-haeng.

An official familiar with the matter said, "We originally planned to announce the acquisition around Christmas last year, but we are in the process of final discussions on the value of the stake."
