EGL Announces Shutdown, Will Return All Staked $ETH

Ethereum ecosystem coordination project EGL has announced its shutdown and will return all staked $ETH. Officials say that in light of concerns raised by multiple core developers, many members of the community strongly believe that using tokens to manage Ethereum is inherently flawed, and that EGL was created to be a useful tool for the community, so the decision was made to end the EGL project.
