Game Publisher Carry1st Raises $27M with a16z Involved

Mobile game publisher Carry1st announced it has raised $27m in a funding round led by Bitkraft Ventures, with participation from a16z, Alumni Ventures, Lateral Capital and others.

Carry1st aims to advance Web3 gaming in Africa through its publishing and digital content creation platform Play1st. The fund raised will be used to expand the capabilities of Pay1st.

Last January, Carry1st closed a $20m funding round led by a16z.
