Tezos Foundation has announced a new partnership with Google Cloud to accelerate the development of web3 applications on the Tezos blockchain. As part of this agreement, Google Cloud has agreed to serve as a validator or "baker" on the proof-of-stake blockchain, allowing its corporate clients to deploy and develop web3 applications using Google's cloud infrastructure.
Additionally, select startups incubated by Tezos will be eligible for Google Cloud credits and mentorship. This collaboration follows Google Cloud's previous integration with the blockchain industry, including launching a blockchain node-hosting engine for Ethereum developers and running a validator node on the Ronin network, a gaming-centric Ethereum sidechain.
Tezos is a blockchain-based platform that has been in operation since 2018. It utilizes an LPOS (Liquid Proof-of-Stake) mechanism to maintain its network. One of the unique features of Tezos is its "self-amendment" mechanism, which allows network upgrades through on-chain voting.
