Optimism announced the release of the Superchain Faucet, a testnet faucet that supports the reputation system, allowing developers to obtain up to 20 times the amount of ETH compared to regular testnets using on-chain reputation data.
This will help developers in the Optimism ecosystem to conduct project testing and iterations more efficiently. The Superchain Faucet not only supports social authentication through GitHub but also allows developers to authenticate their identities through on-chain methods.
Currently, the Superchain Faucet supports OP Goerli, but it is designed to expand to other OP Chains of Superchain, including Base, ZORA NETWORK, PGN, and future Superchain partners.
The Superchain Faucet currently supports identity verification through Optimist NFT and will support World ID in the future.
