Portals Closed $5 Million Seed Round with Multicoin Capital and Others

TokenInsight news, Portals, a Solana-based metaverse project, has closed a $5 million seed round led by Greylock with participation from Multicoin Capital, Solana Ventures, Foundation Capital, Alameda Research and others. The capital raised in this round will go towards growing the team to build out the Portals metaverse (starting with “Portals Downtown”) and the suite of tools and features for creators and builders in Portals. Portals is a metaverse platform that provides tools to build immersive experiences and interactive features for users to engage with as they explore spaces. Users can create their own spaces and invite others into their own spaces or gather with others. Portals is debuting its interactive spaces as NFT assets in November 2021. The beta of “Portals Spaces” (the “indoors”) for NFT holders was launched on December 26th, 2021. Its next phase is planning to launch "Portals Downtown," the city center in the Portals Metaverse.
