The Sui Foundation has appointed Greg Siourounis as managing director to lead efforts to promote the growth and development of the blockchain. Siourounis, an economics professor at Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences in Athens, Greece, and formerly with Barclays Capital, will focus on expanding the user base and promoting the development of decentralized applications.
The Sui Foundation will continue to fund grants to the network's builders and support initiatives to educate the community on the technology underpinning its network. The foundation currently funds developer grants ranging between $10,000 and $100,000 in addition to distributing its native $SUI token as supplements to those awards.
Exchanges including OKX, Bybit, and Kucoin announced last weekend that they will list $Sui Token and launch a subscription mechanism on April 23.
