Tesla released Q3 2023 result on Oct. 18, the latest financial result shows it held $184 million worth of digital assets, known to be composed largely or entirely of Bitcoin.

The latest quarterly results mean it hasn’t bought or sold any Bitcoin since its sell-off of around 75% of its holdings in Q2 2022 when it fetched $936 million for more than 30,000 BTC. Telsa originally purchased $1.5 billion of Bitcoin in 2021.

During the shareholder call, several investors raised questions about whether Telsa would add Bitcoin payment in the future. Recently, Ferrari has started to accept crypto as payment for its cars in the US.
