The Interchain Foundation Introduces Cosmos Interchain NFT and the Game of NFTs Event

Recently, the The Interchain Foundation has issued an article introducing the Interchain NFT functionality in Cosmos ecosystem.

Interchain NFTs work by using the Cosmos Inter-Blockchain (IBC) protocol, ICS-721 for NFT transfer, which acts as a universal standard for bridging different networks within the Cosmos ecosystem. The protocol ensures the security and compatibility of Interchain NFT transfers, and all important NFT features like minting and burning remain on the original chain. Interchain NFTs means that developers can create NFTs that reflect the state of multiple chains or build multi-chain metaverses or game worlds.

The Game of NFTs, an event to test the Interchain NFTs feature and building applications on top of it, is set to take place in the first quarter of 2023. The event will has two phase, public incentivized testnets and a hackathon. Cosmos Hub has approved to fund 20,000 ATOMs worth of incentives for the first phase of the Game of NFTs.
