The creator of the NFT project Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), Yuga Labs, has completed restructuring, the refined focus of the company will be the execution of Otherside, a gamified and interoperable metaverse project.
Yuga Labs CEO Daniel Alegre said: “Otherside is a very important bet for Yuga and when our creative team brought the concept for Meetropolis up to my leadership team, making it a tentpole experience for Otherside felt like a slam dunk.”
Following the restructuring, Alegre added that the team has three priorities — supporting existing communities, focusing on the execution of Otherside and leveraging partnerships.
For the blue-chip NFT project BAYC, Yuga Labs will continue to support offline events.
