Optimism has launched the third round of its OP Airdrop programme, allocating a total of approximately 19 million OP tokens to over 31,000 unique addresses to reward community users for their active participation in governance.

Optimism Launched 3rd Round of $OP Airdrop to Active Governance Participants

If you are not qualified to this round of airdrop, there is 570 million $OP token left allocated for future airdrops. At current price, 570M tokens are worth $750M.

The Optimism Foundation is responsible for determining airdrop metrics, and the intent behind airdrops is to distribute them to addresses which positively impact the Optimism community.

A large percentage of these tokens will likely be airdropped to the active ecosystem users in the future.
