What is Phishing
Phishing scam is the most common form of scam in the crypto market. To conceive a phishing trap, scammers may establish fake trading websites or fake sites of hit projects to trick unsuspecting victims. These counterfeit websites usually have domain names similar to those they attempt to mimic and look very similar to legitimate sites, making it difficult for investors to tell the difference.
These websites will induce victims to connect to personal wallets and provide private key information in many ways, including but not limited to fake transaction interfaces, promises that will not be fulfilled (such as non-existent airdrops), and so on. Then, all the details the user entered, such as the crypto wallet's password, recovery phrase, private key, or other personal information, end up in the scammers' hands, which will make scammers get access to ransack assets within the wallet.
Generally speaking, crypto phishing scams could be in various forms, including fake websites mentioned above, and malicious links, emails, etc.
