Discord Closes a New $500 Million Round of Funding Valued at $15 Billion.

TokenInsight news, social platform Discord recently closed a $500 million round of funding led by Dragoneer Investment Group, with participation from Baillie Gifford & Co. Research Co. and Franklin Templeton, among others. Discord co-founder and CEO Jason Citron said in an emailed statement that the new funds will be used to "invest in new features and tools" and to expand the company's team.
