ASTA Platform is a blockchain-based payment platform owned by Korean IT company Korfin Holdings. It has been in development since 2017 and went live in 2019. Aiming at eliminating dependence on trusted third-party authority and reducing the transaction fee, ASTA build its decentralized payment platform on Ethereum. Specifically, the ASTA Platform uses its native token, $ASTA, as the settlement method. In other words, users need to purchase $ASTA before transactions, and merchants need to price their goods or services in $ASTA. $ASTA is the native token of ASTA Platform.
In 2020, ASTA developed the ASTA Wallet to simplify user operations, and the ASTA Tour to expand payment application scenarios based on the payment platform.
ASTA Wallet is designed to facilitate the management of digital assets and payments to merchants. The main functions include ASTA Mall, Wallet, and News.
ASTA Mall is the core function. Through ASTA Mall, users can make payments to merchants that have partnered with ASTA Platform.
Wallet function allows users to access and manage tokens in the ASTA Wallet. The news function provides the latest discounts as well as updates for easy access to payment information.
ASTA Tour (also known as The ASTA) provides users with hotel and resort reservations, car rentals, and other services. With the intermediate costs saved through blockchain, users can book services at a discount compared with traditional booking sites.
