Coub.com is an artistic community for creating coubs (looped videos that lasts up to 10 seconds long) that has been operating since 2012. According to the website, currently there are 11.3 million monthly active users in the community with 12 million coubs in total.
In 2022, Coub.com revealed its plan for entering the Web 3 era. The community plans to implement a Watch-to-Earn model for operation. Viewers and creators can earn rewards for daily activities such as views, likes, comments and reposts. An NFT marketplace is also be set up to allow creators to mint and directly sell or auction their tokenized NFT coubs.
$COUB is the governance token of the ecosystem. Holders can propose changes related to community development, and can stake their tokens to indicate their votes.
