Oxygen is a DeFi prime brokerage service built on Solana and powered by Serum's on-chain infrastructure. Oxygen is built around Pools—baskets of assets that take collective actions. Starting with a borrow-lending facility, users will be able to earn yield and get leverage against their portfolios, setting the foundation for a decentralised financial ecosystem.
Compared with Compound and Aave, Oxygen has made several improvements:
- Integrate with Serum, a decentralized exchange that is also on the Solana public chain, and users can directly trade with Serum in the fund pool.
- Unified margin account: Users can use the total value of all assets in the account as collateral margin, which can reduce the risk of liquidation to a certain extent.
- Structured products: Users can use the Oxygen protocol to create products such as synthetic assets and derivatives.
